Our chosen charity this year is Suffolk Refugee Suffolk, who support refugees here in Suffolk.
Based in Ipswich, and serving the entire county, Suffolk Refugee Support (SRS) provides invaluable advisory and support services for refugees to help them make a life in Suffolk. SRS’s support services are wide-ranging, and include advice on housing and employment, ESOL courses, an international women’s group, a sewing group, a weekly refugee football group at Ipswich’s Portman Road stadium, and other youth groups (e.g., for young musicians). Over the last year, their services have provided direct support for over 1500 refugees from 51 different countries. This represents an increase of 150% in requests for their services over previous years and indicates the importance of making SRS the charity the Unitarian Meeting House is supporting in 2025.

If you wish to donate to Ipswich Unitarian House, we have a card machine at the Meeting House that can take donations, as well as a donations box for any change. We are open to the public in the day time through the Summer months and for Meeting from 10:30 to 12:00 every Sunday of the year.
If you are keen to support the Meeting House as a historical building rather than primarily as a site of worship, you are warmly encouraged to join the Friends of the Meeting House, with annual member fees of just £12 for individuals. Please click the link to find out more.
